এই খাতার সময়সীমা ২০০০ থেকে ২০০২। খাতার শুরুতেই শিল্পী লিখিত নোট : ‘ভালো ‘ছবির’ সহজ সমীকরণ থেকে বেরিয়ে এসে নতুন কাজ করতে হবে। নতুন ধরনের কাজ করতে হবে। ১৬.০৫.২০০০’। এর পরে ওই একই পাতায় আরেকটি নোট : ‘এতদিন স্কেচ খাতায় Key drawing করার কথা ভেবেছি। এই মনে করে যে আসল ছবিতে কাজটি সম্পূর্ণ করতে পারবো–। এখন সব ড্রইংকেই ‘ছবি’ হিসেবে করা। মন দিয়ে করা–ছোট বড় সব কিছু। ১৬.০৫.২০০০’। এই খাতার সময়সীমা বলছে, বয়সের দিক থেকে শিল্পী ষাট অতিক্রম করেছেন।

The timespan of this sketchbook is from the year 2000 to 2002. The book opens with a note from the artist: ‘Leaving behind the easy equation of a “good” artwork, something new should be done; some new varieties should be ventured out.16/5/2000. There is another note on the immediate next page: Till date I have thought about making some key drawings, in the sketchbook, while thinking that I am going to finish the work in the actual artwork০৯. I did them with care–with all the details, big and small alike. The time period of the sketchbook says that the artist crossed sixty by then.
