Description
This sketchbook, belonging to the earlier period of the artist’s life gets illuminated with his spirit of exploration. He seems to receive a beckoning of a new world. With the swift movement of his pen he planted the seed of his very own pictorial language. As the inexpensive black ink invaded the soft surface of the pages, the ink of one page permeated into other. Simultaneously one’s mind gets lost in emotion of the poem and the lines of verse take form along with strokes: ‘For quite a long time all are left fatigued/ The spring does not come any more, the wind that grows from the hooves of a trotting horse…..’ One has to come back to this sketchbook to feel touch of the artist’s emotion.
