এই দ্বিতীয় খণ্ডে সংযুক্ত হয়েছে শিল্পী রচিত শিল্পসংক্রান্ত, শিল্পশিক্ষা সংক্রান্ত, নান্দনিক বোধকে কেন্দ্র করে একাধিক রচনা। দেশীয় শিল্পকলা থেকে বিশ্ব শিল্পভুবন এই প্রদক্ষিণে উঠে এসেছে। তবে এই অধিকাংশ রচনাই কোনো স্বয়ংসম্পূর্ণ লেখা হিসেবে যে তিনি লিখেছিলেন, তা হয়তো নয়। অধ্যাপনার সূত্রে সেমিনার সূত্রে এইসব লেখা রচিত হয়েছিল, যা প্রকৃত অর্থেই শিল্পীর নিজস্ব অনুসন্ধান, এদের মধ্যে একমাত্র ব্যতিক্রম ‘বলার মতো কিছু না’ রচনাটি, যা শিল্পীর আত্মজীবনকেই উন্মোচিত করে। পাশাপাশি, এই খণ্ডের জরুরি অলংকার যেমন শিল্পী ও শিল্পকাজকে অশেষ চট্টোপাধ্যায়ের অবলোকন, শিল্পীকে লিখিত বিশিষ্টজনদের পত্রাবলি; তেমনই ‘চিত্রাবলি’ পর্বে শিল্পীর অজস্র চিত্রের মুদ্রণ। ‘সনৎ কর জীবন ও শিল্প’ এই দ্বিতীয় খণ্ড শিল্পীর শান্তিনিকেতনে বসবাস পর্বকে তুলে ধরেছে সামগ্রিক ভাবে।

In the second volume many an article written by the artist himself regarding art, art training and also aesthetic senses have been included. In those artistic circumambulation, from native art to world of art have come to surface. But most of those articles that the artist wrote might not be penned down as an independent one. They were composed during the course of his professorship or for any seminar; thus, they truly reflect the personal search of the artist. Among them, the only writing that stands apart is ‘Bolar mato kichhu na’ which reflects the autobiographical aspects of the artist’s life. Besides,  the observation made by Ashesh Chattopadhaya about the artist and his works, the letters of eminent persons written to the artist, and prints of many a painting of the artist in the section called ‘Chitrabali’ have adorned this volume. ‘Sanat Kar Jiban o Shilpa’- as a whole this second volume has revealed the period of the artist’s stay at Santiniketan.
