Shilpo Mela, 2020

At the advent of this winter at Kolkata, Debovasha jubilantly announces Shilpomela, from 5th to 8th December 2020, daily 2pm to 8:30pm, on premises, following all Covid norms. In this homely abode of books and art, creations of veteran as well as young artists will be displayed, in various mediums – Crayon, Terracotta, Tempera, Pastel, Oil, Collage etc. In the Mela, Debovasha’s publications, illustrated book bags, ceramics, dokra art, folk doll, art books, signed sketch books, coffee mugs and other creations will be available as well.  

A plethora of artwork from distinguished artists will be displayed in Shilpomela, including:

Sanat Kar, Ramananda Bandyopadhyay, Ganesh Haloi, Laluprasad Shaw, Suhash Roy, Jogen Chowdhury, Katayun Saklat, Shuvaprasanna, Hiran Mitra, Gautam Chowdhury, Arunima Chowdhury, Samir Aich, Sushobhan Adhikary, Sekhar Roy, Bimal Kundu, Alay Kumar Ghoshal, Krishnendu Chaki, Chhatrapati Dutta, Partha Dasgupta, Chandana Hore, Atin Basak, Soumitra Kar, Tanmay Banerjee, Dilip Mitra, Kabari Banerjee Mukherjee, Sudeshna Mitra Battig, Sujit Das, Tapas Ghoshal, Tumpa Chowdhury, Chandan Bhandari, Arpita Pradhan, Ranjan Sarkar and others.

Alongside, an art exhibition – “Living Tradition” will be held on the occasion of the Mela, displaying work of eminent artists – Paritosh Sen, Somnath Hore, K.G. Subramanyan, Ranen Ayan Dutta, Reba Hore, Rabin Mondal, Sanat Kar, Ramananda Bandyopadhyay, Ganesh Haloi, Laluprasad Shaw, Jogen Chowdhury , Shuvaprasanna , Anita Roy Choudhury and Tushar Choudhury.  The exhibition will continue till 18th December 2020.
