Celebration of Birth Centennial : Somnath Hore

There are some personalities in the field of art and culture who invoke deep reverence. Such one name is artist Somnath Hore. He stands out from others with his unique approach as well as with his loneliness. This sense of loneliness separates him from other artistic approaches. His isolated life and inner anguish are a result of a bleeding heart that gave birth to a hitherto unprecedented art form. His was more of a creative pursuit than a creative process. In 2019 we organized the pre-centennial exhibition in the same venue till January 2020. His 100th birthday is just a month away, on April 13. However, the 100th years of his birth have illuminated and rendered the entire 2021 a celebration commemorating his work.
