Reba Hore

It was the artist Reba Hore who had incorporated a treasure of brilliantly powerful and vigorous voice in the orchestra of Indian art. Her fountain of hues, boldness of her strokes have turned her canvas into an unexpected and unimaginable artistic site. The tunes of human life both pleasant and melancholic and the dramatic qualities and artistic rhythm, both gained acceleration in her work. Her strokes and colours take a flight to eternity with the aid of the imageries of quotidian life. Her emotions attain refinement through warmth of life springing from a feminine heart and physical sensitivity. Be it oil painting, pastel or terracotta, her creation elevates one to an aesthetic plane even at the first glance. It makes us feel, as if her painting has been freshly appeared here on the earth and it creates an everlasting stir in our mind. Courtesy Chandana Hore, the artist’s daughter, Reba Hore’s exhibition, Light of Spring containing more than hundreds of her works was organised by Debovasha. It is our humble effort to pay tribute to an artist, a free-spirited recluse who kept on searching for life through her works.
