Description
Fortunately enough, Reba Hore had no idea that this diary is going to be published. Then the spontaneity of the blooming of flower would have been hindered, and it would turn into a creation. It was her continuous conversation with her own self, her endeavour to depict at her own sweet will. Here, the word ‘own’ connotes her own world. Her deceased companion for life, her daughter who set off to gain foot in the world of maturity, the people around her, from stray cats and dogs to a passion flower vine – everyone claims to be close to her, everyone together constituted her social or familial world of writing and painting. Having been intimately associated with her pen, paper and canvas, she was, in fact, communicating with her memories, her moments of joy or her overwhelming grief. The way this diary appeared with an unexpectedness, it ended in the same manner – as if it was only born but left no sign of completion.
