The pages of the history of art let us know that the artist Ganesh Haloi was born in the year of 1936 which means next year he is going to touch the freshness of his nineties. Then what significance does it carry for us to organize a solo exhibition of Ganesh Haloi, one of the principal guardians of Debovasha, an abode of books and art in suchlike circumstances? Primarily it should be mentioned that each of the works of this exhibition is a recent oeuvre of the artist. Once one casts a look at those works they would reveal how an artist may reach a province called ‘discovery’ after traversing a long way and enjoying joys and wow of life, and befriending tradition and modernity and going through his rigorous persuasion. It may reduce his artistic sphere if an artist like him is called an abstract artist. One would rather observe that his memory and the nature of his memory no longer appear as the imagery of nature because of his introspective experimentation. Today he remains engrossed in creating the symphony of nature. The exhibition of his recent works showcases this very expansion. The show will continue from 19th July 2025 to 19th August 2025 in the house of Debovasha.
